Success at the 2024 IWC Awards

Tom Platt

Liberty Wines have participated in the IWC awards for many years, first receiving one of their business awards in 1997.  I am pleased to share that at this week's 2024 award ceremony, Liberty Wines was awarded:

  • IWC Agent of the Year (for the 7th time)

  • IWC On-Trade Supplier of the Year (for the 13th time)

  • IWC Australia Specialist of the Year (for the 7th time)

  • IWC Italy Specialist of the Year (for the 21st time)

The judges particularly noted our efforts in promoting our specialist wine categories to customers and that “in the last year, Liberty Wines demonstrated great gains across all aspects of their operation”. These gains, and these awards, wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of each of our 240-strong team, and the partnerships we have developed with our producers around the world and our customers across the UK and Ireland.

In addition to these awards the IWC awards ceremony also recognised several of our producers.

Ed Carr of House of Arras was awarded IWC Sparkling Winemaker of the Year, marking the first time an Australian winemaker has received this accolade. House of Arras has returned to our portfolio for 2024, and we are excited to share Ed's award-winning Tasmanian sparkling wines with our customers again.

Overall, seven of our producers were recognised with Trophies and Champion Awards:
